Coehn&Foehrb bedanken sich herzlich bei allen Unterstützern auf Jamendo und von überall sonst. Es freut und sehr, dass unsere Musik ganz offenbar einen breiten Anklang findet.
Unsere Strategie war es ja schon immer, dass wir ausschließlich Songs unter Creative Commons Lizenz veröffentlicht hatten, so dass Jamendo für uns natürlich sofort eine gute Platform war.
Da wir allerdings sehr viel Zeit und Mühen in unsere Musik investieren, versuchen wir jetzt eine Luxus-Edition unserer CD “Die Tugend von Heute” an die Frau (oder den Mann) zu bringen. Diese CD enthält drei Tracks, die es in der CC-Version nicht gibt. Es ist das erste Mal, dass wir überhaupt Nicht-CC Songs in unserem Repertoire haben. Diese Bonus Titel sollten aber mehr als eine Belohnung für Käufer des Albums angesehen werden, die mit dem Kauf unseren Lifestyle und unsere Möglichkeiten überhaupt Musik zu machen unterstützen.
Die drei zusätzlichen Tracks sind jedoch nicht das einzige Argument diese CD zu kaufen; Wir haben weder Kosten Zeit noch Mühen gespart um ein ganz besonderes Album zu Produzieren. Die CD befindet sich in einem Aluminium Case, welches wiederum in einem sehr schön gestaltetem Schuber steckt. Neben der CD auf ihrem Halter, gibt es in dem Metall-Case ausserdem ein A3 Poster mehrere Sticker und ein Zertifikat mit der Seriennummer der jeweiligen CD. Wie man vieleicht schon vermuten kann, richtet sich diese CD vorallem an Sammler und CD-Enthusiasten, die mehr als nur die Musik haben möchten. Mit Kauf dieser CD erhält man also eigentlich nicht die Musik, sondern vielmehr die ganze teure, aufwändige Verpackung und die Zusatz-Gimmicks. Die drei Bonus-Songs sind nur ein kleines Dankeschön. Hi! Welcome to our Blog on coehnundfoehrb.jamendo.net !
Since we obviously have a decent number of supporters from all around the world, here’s our first English language blog. Coehn&Foehrb are on Jamendo for over a year now but it seems our popularity is still growing and we’re getting more and more plays and downloads every day. Thank’s a lot everyone !
For us it has always been our strategy to give away large parts of our music for free, so Jamendo was a natural fit. However, since music is something that keeps us very busy we also try to sell a so called “luxory edition” of our current album “Die Tugend von Heute” (which by the way is a play on the German words for ‘virtue’ and ‘today’s youth’). This Special Edition features 3 additional bonus tracks that are not in the free CC-Version. It’s the first time we ever had Non-CC songs in our repertoir but it really should be seen as a reward to people who buy the CD and therefore support our lifestyle and make it possible for us to concentrate on our music.
The 3 additional tracks are not the CD’s only strength however; We invested lots of money, time and passion to produce a really unique packaging for “Die Tugend von Heute”. The CD is contained in a brushed aluminium case that resides in a neat slipcase featuring comic style characters that represent Coehn and Foehrb. Inside the metal case there’s the CD on it’s retainer of course, but there’s also a poster with the “Tugend von Heute” style graphics, some stickers and a certificate which also features the serial number of each respective CD. As you can guess by now, the whole point is to make this CD appeal especially to collectors and CD-Fans who really want to get more than just the music, so if you decide to buy this CD you’ll not have to pay for the music but rather for the really expensive Case and additional gimmicks. The three non-free songs are just a reward for buying it.
